Commissioner Greater Southwest Developmental Corporation

President & Member Chicago Family Business Council

Arthur Lukowski has been an active member and leader at the Chicago Family Business Council, and served as President in 2010-11 and as Chairman in 2011-12.  During that period the CFBC successfully migrated to DePaul University without losing a single member.  Art worked carefully, meeting with each forum group and each member within the organization to build consensus so that the organization wouldn’t split.  Today, the CFBC has a record membership and hosts educational and social events that benefit it’s “family business” members.

Art has lived in Mokena for 25 years. He’s been involved in many business chambers, Metropolitan Family Services, Muscular Dystrophy, Downs Syndrome, and has helped his wife with the Ministers of Care at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Mokena (parishioner since 1989).

Art is not retired; he continues to operate the automotive service business his father started in 1980, and as President he works to keep his family’s traditions in the workplace so that his customers know he is “their guy”.
